Happy New Year with the CTMH Blog Hop!

Happy New Year and welcome to our Close To My Heart Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  We will be featuring the first new Stamp of the Month of the new year 2011: D1452 "Find Your Style".   If you have come here from Toni Hinchcliffe'ss awesome blog Wholly Crafts, you are on the right path!

I am in love with our new January 2011 Stamp of the Month - "Find Your Style" D1452!  This exclusive set includes a perfect sentiment for so many friends cards AND has very trendy stamps including a dressmaker's form, a shoe, a bird and a butterfly... all with a subtle pattern of uplifting words inscribed within the stamp. So on trend! So stylish! 


My inspiration came from our brand new WINGS Workshop On The Go (WOTG)!  Just to show you how versatile our fantastic WOTG's really are, I followed the patterns for two of the cards in this workshop, substituting this month's SOTM for the WOTG exclusive B-size stamp set.  And... voila!  Beautiful cards in just minutes!  

Card One: 
For the background paper underneath the Butterfly, I repeatedly stamped the sentiment in Garden Green onto Colonial White c/s.  For my Butterfly image, I used a Sakura Gel Pen to highlight the words "Fly Free" on the wing, too.

Card Two: 

I rotated the card template, and re-positioned the Butterfly image.  Using Dimensional Tape, I lifted the Butterfly and the sentiment, too.  Glitz Glitter Glue makes a beautiful body for this Butterfly!  And, again, I used a Sakura Gel Pen to highlight the "Fly Free" sentiment within the Butterfly image.
